Heritage Baseball conducts assessments for players in the Machine Pitch, Minor and Major divisions.  The intent of assessments is to give the coaches the opportunity to see the players prior to selecting their teams.  During the assesments the players will be asked to catch ground balls and make throws to first base from the third and shortstop postion as well as catch pop flys in the outfield and make throws to the infield.  In additon, the player will be asked to hit the ball while a coach pitches to them.  Once the player has run through the drills they are free to go.  After assesments we will conduct a draft to select the teams.  Within a few days of conducting assessments you will be contacted by your sons coach and they will provide you with the details of when practices will begin.  

Coaches are allowed to preselect up to five (5) players.  These players consist of the three (3) coaches sons plus two (2) others.  These preselect players do not need to attend assessments, and we encourage that they not attend as we have a limited amount of time and space to access those that need to be assessed.
